I am a Christian minister in America. Although I don’t always wear hijab, often times I do in prayer/dua, in daily routine, and even in church!!! God sent me many beautiful Muslim friends. Really, I cannot imagine my life without them. They have been there for me in good times and bad. Some Christians have taken issue with me about this matter but they are not God. My God says it is good. So I tell them that if they don’t like it too bad. Hehe
There is so much hypocrisy in all the Christian movies of the Old-testament and the Gospel. The women wear them. Mary, mother of Jesus is always presented wearing a hijab in our Christian paintings. The Catholic nuns wear them. African women wear head dresses. In many Christian churches, women wear head coverings before entering to worship. It is their belief according to the way they interpret the scriptures in the Gospel!!!
Christian women in many parts of the world wear them and yet they have the audacity to criticize a Muslimah (Muslim woman) for her hijab!!! Too many Christians are singling out the Muslims and just picking on them. Well, me and many of my Christian friends know the meaning of fairness & respect. I will preach it ’till the day I die!!! I dedicate this to all my Muslim friends…Alhamdulillah!!!
Ladies on hijab sending a message to everyone that women body not for display. when we are wearing hijab will be a very strong and no body will try to play with us. I am a woman I am a human and strong.
Sister, i am with you on this one. Hijabs are amazing, they say so much about the faith of women
words that spring to mind are
HUMBLE
INNER BEAUTY
OBEDIENCE
MODESTY
PURITY
How can I as a man not respect a Godly woman Muslim or non Muslim
in 21st century so much of the value
I cherish have been trampled on by swine of a secular
Think on things that are good.
Imagine if Christian women were Hjabed it would send such a POWERFUL message of LOVE to Muslims who truly love God
Love conquers all .
Something the world cant teach
Adrienne how true you are that none of the nuns adorn dresses that are nothing else but Hijab, albeit they are not dressed in black which somehow has become symbolic in Muslims Hijab.(Why it is so is beyond my comprehension) I am Pakistani Muslim man who was educated in Jesus & Mary convent school or the Cathedral school why back in the 50’s when the English was still going strong. Most of our classes were taught by NUNS and in not a single case I can recall their head uncovered so much that not a single strand of hair was visible. This aspect has been highlighted by you a Christian women whereas this should have the argument put forward by Muslim women who wear the Hijab. It is a dramatically very strong point as to how can the western society object to Muslim women wearing Hijab when their own women priest/nuns are doing exactly the same. To a large extent Muslim women are themselves to blame for in many a case the wearing of a Hijab is synonymous with the covering of the body completely from head to toe with only eye slits left as if they were cats on the prowl for what, mice?? Extremeness always has its backlashes and this is a typical example to which I too frankly strongly object. What you are wearing is the exact requirement and not the other way around. Why the actual truth of Christian nuns or women priest wearing almost the similar head covering as the hijab as the
Muslim women not been openly used as the theme in support of Hijab is not clear and even myself who has had direct contact with these nuns through be taught by them never considered this at all. Thank you for opening up my mind to this excellent fact which I will most certainly put forward at every opportunity that my arise. Allah bless you for you are truly an ambassador blessed with faith that has no frontiers for well being of humanity. “Amen”
Amen sister.
Read 1 Corinthians 11:5-6.
May God bless you sister 🙂
