Hijab has always been with me as a part of growing up in London but as with most things in life, I never really appreciated its true beauty and value. Alhamdulilah, having now understood the purpose of hijab, I wear it with pride. Almost like a natural part of who I am. It doesn’t take a second thought for me to cover up when I leave my home. Hijab has never hindered me in any aspect of life. I’ve graduated. I work in Parliament. I have experienced working in finance in the city. Although you meet some hostile people along the way, they have never phased me. I know I’m the one in the right – what could give you better strength than knowing you are pleasing your lord? 🙂 I feel so blessed to have the understanding and courage to observe hijab. With the right support, confidence, and faith I hope more Muslim women of the world will be inspired to put on hijab and feel truly liberated. Insha’Allah!
Keep up the Hijab
