Stand Up for Muslim Students: Help End Bullying Today!

Did you know that Muslim students in the USA face a bullying rate three times higher than the national average? Together, we can change that!

The World Hijab Day Organization has taken a significant step forward by launching in-person diversity and inclusion workshops for schools to tackle Islamophobia in September 2024. These workshops are already making an impact by equipping educators with tools to combat bullying, celebrate diversity, and create safe spaces for Muslim students.

The Impact So Far

Participants in our workshops have seen significant improvements in their understanding of Muslim culture, with 100% finding the content relevant and useful. The overall quality of our workshops was rated ‘Excellent’ by all participants, and 100% would recommend the experience.

Here’s what one educator had to say:

“I had the privilege of attending a workshop led by the World Hijab Day Organization on how teachers can support Muslim students in their schools, and it was truly transformative. The session tackled the sensitive issue of anti-Muslim bias with such empathy, insight, and practical guidance. The workshop facilitator’s deep understanding of the challenges faced by Muslim students, combined with her engaging delivery, created a space for honest conversation and learning. The facilitator shared valuable strategies for creating an inclusive environment, addressing biases, and fostering a culture of respect within the classroom. This workshop not only opened my eyes to the experiences of Muslim students but also equipped me with the tools to be a more supportive and effective educator. I highly recommend this workshop to all educators committed to creating a welcoming and equitable space for every student.”— Nicole Kamar Aldin, Science Educator, NY
