I converted six years ago when I was nineteen and started wearing hijab at the same time. I wore it everyday for over two years even when I was getting racial abuse at one of my universities placements. However, I did give up university because of that abuse. Then I went through fazes of wearing it. The main reason I stop wearing it was my now ex- husband and his family who are Christians said I looked better without it. Now I wear my hijab proudly every time I go out and my soon to be new husband (In sha Allah) says I look beautiful. So not only am I pleasing him, I’m pleasing Allah and I’m more happy and comfortable now.
Mashallah sister Allah bless you, so proud of you sister.
