Alhamdulilah, having now understood the purpose of hijab, I wear it with pride. Almost like a natural part of who I am. It doesn’t take a second thought for me to cover up when I leave my home. Hijab has never hindered me in any aspect of life. I’ve graduated. I work in Parliament. I have experienced working in finance in the city. Although you meet some hostile people along the way, they have never phased me. I know I’m the one in the right – what could give you better strength than knowing you are pleasing your lord? I feel so blessed to have the understanding and courage to observe hijab. With the right support, confidence, and faith I hope more Muslim women of the world will be inspired to put on hijab and feel truly liberated. Insha’Allah!

The post I work in Parliament appeared first on World Hijab Day.

<post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">855</post-id>
