This year will be my first World Hijab Day, and you are an inspiration. I am not Muslim either, but I think that hijab is beautiful and the intentions behind covering up are to be admired, not scorned by society. Living in the U.S, it is definitely a hot topic right now to discuss Islam, and not in a good way. I am participating this year in hopes that I can help show that, no matter what our religion or appearance, we all deserve respect and friendship.
